Its amazing how we tend to switch colours in Fashion and that's one of the reasons I'm a fashion buff. I don't think I'd ever be able to do without fashion and in my next life, I should be waltzing in as Chanel's daughter (dare to dream).
Fuchsia made a very bold comeback for fall and while I love the colour, I want to salute all the women out there who are empowered, being empowered and empowering. Kudos to you all.
Pink is a statement colour and while in the past it seemed to be the colour to symbolise femininity, it has evolved into a statement colour, a no-nonsense way of declaring feminine empowerment.
Who's with me on this one?
One of the things I love about fuchsia is how chic it makes you look whether it is worn as an ensemble or as separates, I live for its intensity. If I were to choose between pink and fuchsia I'd definitely pick fuchsia. (except if pink were the only colour of choice among many others).
For today's look, I paired my sweater with a black peplum skirt & shoes by Heyraud. Accessories were this beautiful teal bag and gold plated jewelry by yours truly + ivory bangles. For makeup I wanted a very bold unapologetic look and did a fuchsia coloured eyeshadow by sleek cosmetics.
Since I'm not scared to dare, I would do an all over fuchsia look either in a pant suit, dress or coat. Another alternative which I find very flattering with fuchsia is combining it with block colour separates in colours ranging from orange, tangerine, teal & cobalt blue. A very adventurous colour don't you agree?
What are your thoughts on fuchsia as a colour? How do you like to wear it, with colour block separates or as monochrome?
P.S I'm just recovering from an asthma crisis, so please bear with me and thank you for your love & support
