TIERED SKIRTS & COLOURS - FASHION TREND SETTER

Hello everyone. Whew !!! How long has it been? My Gawd, it does feel good to let go sometimes especially on social media. Believe me guys when you are going through crap, just switch off. Now that's not to say that I'm doing fully okay but I feel much better than I did some months back.

If you also recall I wrote a post about preparing for my baby's Holy Communion, Gawd that thing is as hard as taking exams. I can't even begin to tell you guys how I looked after the whole thing, forget the pictures you see here, I literally looked like one of the thieves who was electrocuted in Macaulay Culkin's 'Home Alone' ( no joke). Anyway, I'm glad to be back and I'll be doing it gradually. I really do miss the pace I worked with previously and how exciting it was, and I'm trying to build the momentum into that.

Did y'all notice how tiered skirts and dresses just seemed to take over this summer? The fullness of the skirts, ruffles, tiered sleeves, it was so amazing to just watch. I couldn't be left behind and what other occasion to pull it off than at my son's First Holy Communion, it was everything. I pulled mine off in grey which is one colour that is just on its own level of chic I promise you. Was glad seeing grey on nails, but in clothes, it's just the new black. It's such a colour that could serve all purposes effortlessly from workwear to evening to casual it's just such a versatile colour. Who knew we could match greys with yellows or blush pink or lilacs and blues, the list just goes on and on.

For my look at the church, I went with a blush pink top from H&M with this beautiful grey clutch bag. Let me just suffice it to say that nudes & pastels killed this look for me. I went in with this lovely nude ankle booties and accessorized with jewellery pieces made by yours truly.

For the second look, I became very adventurous with a mustard yellow cotton lace sleeveless top and paired it with these Kaia Pointed Barely There Heel In Yellow Patent and the same bag. Très chic.

                                                       Don't you agree?

Let me know what you think about tiered skirts? I think they give the body a beautiful dimension and you can dress it up or down anytime, just by tweaking one or two things.

Love,
