Heatwaves of over 40° in France, a record broken in 2019. The last heatwave that happened in France was in 1947 lives were lost and it was a natural disaster that France was very sure they didn't want to see repeat itself. This one in 2019, I have tried to find the words to describe it all to no avail, but boy did I feel like hell was on earth. I just want to use this medium to buttress once again that climate change is real and it's no longer other people's responsibility anymore but ours. We are all responsible for our actions. It starts with us in our homes.
Welcome once again to my blog guys and how are you all doing. As you all know I don't fare very well in the hot weather, the sweating, the fainting, the crisis, it's unbearable and when it's that hot believe me looking for something to wear is such a herculean task.
WHAT IS YOUR ABSOLUTE GO TO WHEN YOU HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR?
That said, there will come a time in this heat when you'd be out of sorts with finding the right outfit, look decent and put together, go about your business without looking sweaty and flustered. I'm sure a lot of you could come up with at least 5 items that could fit this rhetoric, but I chose this particular one for 2 main reasons:
1. I get to wear a white shirt - Guys I absolutely love white in summer. It's a must-have in the sunny season. I don't know of any other colour that just brings out the skin & helps highlight your bronzed look like white.
2. I get to wear a loose pair of pants, which if you perspire a lot, you'll very well know that wearing tight clothing or figure-hugging outfits will do nothing, absolutely nothing at all for your fashion confidence.
WHY WOULD YOU CHOOSE THAT OUTFIT?
In this look, I wore this lovely white linen shirt and wide-leg khaki pants. The khaki is very lightweight and breathable just like the linen. I decided to add a little chicism to the look by opting for this lovely wide-brimmed floppy hart in dark blue & white strip to match my blue sandals I snagged from La Halle aux chaussures ( a completely French brand). For accessories, a crystal rosary in yellow+ lime green necklace which I snagged from H&M if I'm not wrong to match that pop of colour in my eyes. A pair of oversized lunettes de Soleil (sunglasses) and then peep my red hair guys.
( Don't tell me y'all didn't notice 😎😎😎) which I did all entirely myself.
